For the third in our series of artist residencies at Newquay Orchard, ALMA Artspace is delighted to present a new exhibition and collaborative project by Falmouth-based artist Hannah Waldron: ‘Pestalo’.
Join Hannah for two creative workshops hosted on site at the Orchard focussing on tapestry and mark making in weaving using natural fibres and plant dyed yarns. Inspiration will be drawn from around the Orchard site and the resulting artworks will be shown as a collaborative exhibition, alongside a series of Hannah’s latest textile works.
Hannah Waldron's work combines weaving, drawing, sculpture and storytelling to explore textiles and its expanded field. Check out her work here : https://www.hannahwaldron.co.uk/
Experiment with textures and patterns and shapes, learn basic weaving structures and create your own miniature tapestry that will be a part of the collaborative exhibition at the Orchard. You can collect your piece when the exhibition is finished at the beginning of April.
